1 BUDGETS vs. ALLOWANCES
In the world of building it is very common to be given allowances for your selection items. Meaning when you sign a contract with a builder you are given a set number for your appliances, lighting, flooring, and ect before you have even had a chance to pick these items out. The issues that arises with this process is during construction when you go to pick out your selections, that $15,000.00 appliance allowance might not be enough to cover the actual cost and you will have to pay the difference out of pocket. We have changed the process entirely by using actual budgets in place of allowances. The CKC interior designers will physically pick out all selection items with you up front, before signing a contract, and create an accurate budget for all items down to the very last cent. Saving you from that out of pocket expense down the road and create full transparency throughout the entire build and design process.
2. ONE STOP SHOP
We have created a “one stop shop” for our clients. We can assist in finding lots to build on, setting up the financing for your construction loan, designing the construction plans, gathering selections, and interior decorating for when you move in. Choosing to build in the first place can be a hard decision to make because of all the “work” and pieces involved, so we have really made it as easy as possible for our clients by handling everything for them.
